Freeze On Me 03:43
Freeze on Me (Dreyer, Sunshine) Night breaks over Reno I got a bullet in my soul There's blood all over my tuxedo and you don't love me any more I'm up a shaky tree you put the freeze on me You wrecked my black Buick Regal you stole my alligator shoes I knew that you were barely legal but old enough to light my fuse was blind but now I see you put the freeze on me You had the weasel in your pocket and he'd do anything you said he rode to heaven on his rocket and landed on your water bed ain't no room for three you put the freeze on me The abominable showman in his chinchilla bungalow introduced me to that woman and left me stranded in the snow in spite of all my pleas you put the freeze on me

Coffee and Reefer (Dreyer, Sunshine) 10/2/01 Pawling, NY Chocolate cake makes my poor stomach ache And all those pills are too much for me to take I don't like cocaine cause it makes me all uptight But Coffee and Reefer makes me feel all right Now crystal meth will make you high, and it's cheap But I never liked going five days without sleep Acid makes me say stupid things like "Outta Sight" But Coffee and Reefer makes me feel all right Now Coffee takes you high, and reefer takes you low The bean will make you fly, while the bud makes you slow Shooting speedballs will make you sell your stereo Now who ever heard of going in hock, for a cup of Joe You know that crank will land you right in the clank Smoke that nasty crack and you'll want to rob a bank Forget the nicotine, Benzedrine, amphetamines Try Coffee and Reefer for a real mellow scene Bridge: Don't drive a car or answer the phone Just try to spend a couple of hours alone Don't operate machinery when you're smoking on that weed The Cartoon Channel has everything you need Now Ecstasy can cause a man to love a wall Whiskey make you want a girl you'd never touch at all Mescaline will turn you into a little pink eraser So try a cappuccino with a mellow gage chaser

Little Bit Shy (Sunshine, Dreyer) © 01-31-2002 (I) I know it might seem strange Cause I don't even know you But as you hand me my change I'm thinking how I'd hold you (IV) I've been watching you work And no, I'm not a stalker (I) I'm just feeling like a jerk Cause I'm not a smooth talker (PRE) I keep buying things that I don't really need Just to hear you say "Two ninety nine" There are so many things I've been wanting to say As I'm standing in your checkout line (CHORUS) I'm just a little bit shy I know your name is Bridget Cause it's written on your name tag I'd like to get your digits Written on my brown bag I'm afraid you'll think I'm crazy Or a little bit absurd If I ask you for your number So I don't say a word I promised myself that today was the day I would finally take you aside But now's my chance to talk to you And my tongue won't come untied I'm just a little bit shy

Tumbling Down (Dreyer, Sunshine) 4/30/02 Pawling, NY I never thought it could happen to me I had a wife and a Mercedes Benz A had a greenback for every blade of grass on my lawn To win people and influence friends One night of sin and now I’m spinning on a merry-go-round While my world comes tumblin’ down, world comes… I got mixed up with 10-Finger Jack In a way I could not have foreseen He spoke in million-dollar metaphors, But he reeked just like cheap gasoline He said he wouldn’t rest until he put me six feet underground And my world came tumblin’ down I left Jack’s sister in a family way Without ever saying a word Jack did the wolf; she did the rabbit, While I did the proverbial bird My wife was inside of my house as it burned to the ground And my world came tumblin’ down, world came.. The moral of the story is as old as the hills, And it’s something that we all know There ain’t no free lunch; you gotta pay the piper And you reap just what you sow. Maybe you’ll find something to say that’s a little more profound When your world comes tumblin’ down World comes tumblin’ down.

Human Blues (Sunshine, Dreyer) 3/19/03 Pawling, NY WAKE UP, GET READY, GO OUT--HUMAN BLUES GO TO WORK, WORK HARD, DO YOUR JOB—HUMAN BLUES GO HOME, PAY YOUR BILLS, GO TO SLEEP—HUMAN BLUES WAKE UP –Sell your television GET READY—a change is gonna come GO OUT—of your way to help somebody, so you can understand where they’re coming from. GO TO WORK—try to make your living better WORK HARD—to give all that you can give DO YOUR JOB—to keep your living simple, so others may simply live I wonder what a being from another galaxy would have to say about the human family That we shouldn’t be divided up by politics and race The lines between our countries can’t be seen from outer space GO HOME—but don’t forget the homeless PAY YOUR BILLS—save some for charity GO TO SLEEP—dreaming of a better world, and tomorrow go and make it a reality. Alien voice: A few of you have more than everyone else So you convince them to buy what you sell Your world is beautiful when seen from above I got the blues for the humans, cause where is the love? Maybe I’m an alien so I shouldn’t judge But why base your economy on dinosaur sludge Your world is so bountiful with riches untold I got the blues for the humans cause you sold it for gold. (solos) My friend from space had something big that he had to say So I took him to our leaders and they locked his ass away In a court of kangaroos, he stood with Buddha’s calm And asked the corporate generals—Who would Jesus bomb? I never seen a planet quite like this one before You got the power to be peaceful But you’re constantly at war Love is something powerful that everyone can use To fight the human blues. Human blues.

Is it Still Too Late? (Dreyer, Peyroux, Sunshine, Hovey) © 01-15-2002 Is it still too late to cry all these tears? Is it still too late to bring back all these years? If it's just hurry up and wait Tell me now Is it still too late? Is it still too late for you to change your mind? Is it still too late for us to waste a little more time? Here I am standing at your gate Is there some way some how Or is it still too late? You say that less is more than you'll allow And more or less you've made it clear But I feel more like I do right now Than I did when I got here Is it still too late even though time is an illusion? Is it still too late to be bound up in this confusion? If there's a chance to change my fate? Tell me now Is it still too late?

Natural Man 05:42
I don't want no gold watch for workin' fifty years from nine till five A-while the boss is guzzling champagne and I'm beltin' beer in some dive 'Cause I want to be happy and free Livin' and loving for me I want to be happy and free Livin' and lovin' for me Like a natural man (like a natural man) A natural man (like a natural man) Well now, I refuse to listen to people's thinkin' that I live too high I'm gonna taste it now before my one life streaks on by 'Cause I want to be happy and free Livin' and lovin' for me I want to be happy and free Livin' and lovin' for me Just like a natural man (like a natural man) I said a natural man (just like a natural man) Well now, I tried to do what others say that I should do They say that I should fit in, fool 'em, fake it, well Those kinda dues just make me crazy and blue Man, I just can't take it So when ya see me walkin', won't ya notice that proud look in my eyes My feet are on the ground and my soul is searchin' for the sky 'Cause I want to be happy and free Livin' and lovin' for me I want to be happy and free Livin' and lovin' for me Just like a natural man (just like a natural man) A natural man (just like a natural man) Just like a natural man (just like a natural man) My feet are on the ground (just like a natural man) My soul is searchin' for the sky (just like a natural man) Like a natural man (just like a natural man) No more "Yes, sir" (just like a natural man) No more "Yes, mam" (just like a natural man) Huh, 'cause I'm a natural man (just like a natural man) I'm a natural man (just like a natural man)

Tore Up from the Floor Up (Sunshine) 2/18/02 Well, I'm tore up from the floor up Can't take no more Yeah I'm tore up from the floor Can't take no more Can't do nothin' since my baby walked out that door (stops, on the one) Can't eat Can't sleep Haven't had a shower in Two weeks Can't work , Can't play Don't care what's gonna happen anyway Cause I'm tore up from the floor up Can't take no more Yeah I'm tore up from the floor Can't take no more Can't do nothin' since my baby walked out that door Can't walk down the street without crying Can't listen to my old 45s Well there ain't no cure in the world worth buying I don’t care if I’m dead or alive , Cause I'm tore up... Don't trust that New York woman She's got ways that you can't see You can't give your heart to the woman Cause if you do you might end up just like me. I'm tore up.

Wasted 03:43
Wasted (JoAnne Sunshine) I have been confused Gotten shaken up Guess I found some wisdom, but it’s not enough And I’m wasting time til I don’t know when I’m wasted Haven’t traveled far But it’s been enough All over you can see the same stuff Been a waitin so long, til I don’t know when I’m wasted Summer’s gone, winter’s on Where do I begin The treasure of a human life only tasted Well, all I’ve got is my dreams But they’ve been asleep Treasures to remember, but they’re not mine to keep And the clock keeps ticking ‘til I don’t know when I’m wasted Chorus So that clock keeps tickin It’s got a nice beat Got me movin and shakin and atappin my feet And I can’t remember, but it Might have been wasted Wasted Wasted

I've got no chauffeur to chauffeur me I've got no servant to serve my tea But I'm as happy as a man can be Because I've got a girl who loves nobody but me I don't own stock in no stock exchange I don't hold claim to no real estate But I'm not living my life in vain Because I've got a girl who loves nobody but me And every time my sweetie goes walking Down some sunny street She always sets the whole town to talking Cause she's a genuine Athena from her head down to her feet I don't rank high in society I don't possess a PhD But I'm all set confident-you-ally Because I've got a girl who loves nobody but me, now

So in Love With You (Dreyer, Sunshine) When I first met you baby I had to keep you under my hat You were my precious little secret And I knew I had to keep it like that We were all tangled up On the other side of town Not even my closest friends Could know exactly what was going down Now I don’t have to hide The way that I feel What we got inside We knew it was real Now I can tell the world I’m so in love with you There was nothing we could do about it The attraction was so strong We couldn’t hear the voices of everyone around us Trying to tell us it was wrong Now I’m so glad I didn’t listen To what they had to say Cause I’m so in love with you baby And it gets stronger every day Now I don’t have to hide The way that I feel What we got inside We knew it was real Now I can tell the world I’m so in love with you

Heaven please send to all mankind, Understanding and peace of mind. But, if it's not asking too much Please send me someone to love. Show all the world how to get along, Peace will enter when hate is gone. But, if it's not asking too much, Please send me someone to love. I lay awake night and ponder world troubles. My answer is always the same. That unless men put an end to all of this, Hate will put the world in a flame, (oh) what a shame. Just because I'm in misery. I'm not begging for no sympathy. But if it's not asking too much, Just send me someone to love.
